  • What is a Google Comparison Shopping Service (CSS)?

    A Comparison Shopping Service is a Google-approved platform that can list and advertise products in Google Shopping on behalf of merchants. The CSS programme was introduced in the EU and UK following a European Commission ruling. Instead of advertising solely through Google Shopping's own CSS, merchants can choose to list through an external CSS partner like Feedoptimise.

    Yes. Feedoptimise is a certified Google CSS partner. You can verify our status directly on Google's Comparison Shopping Partner Portal.

  • How does the CPC discount work?

    Google Shopping applies a margin to bids placed through its own CSS. When you list through Feedoptimise, that margin is removed, so your full bid enters the auction. For example, a €1.00 bid through Google Shopping enters the auction at roughly €0.80. Through our CSS, the full €1.00 is used. This can result in up to 20% lower cost-per-click or stronger ad placement for the same budget.

  • Can I use your CSS without using your feed management platform?

    Yes. You will need to sign up for a platform plan based on your product count. Use of the platform itself is optional, but pricing remains the same, as outlined for one feed and one source on the chosen plan.

  • Can I use multiple CSS partners at the same time?

    Yes. Google allows merchants to work with more than one CSS simultaneously. Adding Feedoptimise alongside your existing CSS or Google Shopping does not affect your current campaigns.

  • How do I get started?

    Sign up for a platform plan, and we will set up a Merchant Centre account under our CSS for your store. Once your product feed is connected, your Shopping campaigns will run through our CSS. The process typically takes a few minutes.
